Our seniors recently participated in their overnight retreat, the highlight of their spiritual development at CHS. The event kicked off with Mass where seniors and their parents joined us prior to departing to five different retreat sites in the area (Camp Abbey in Covington, Feliciana Retreat Center in Norwood, Manresa House of Retreats in Convent, the Wesley Center in Woolworth, and St. Stanislaus in Bay St. Louis, MS) to reflect on the relationships in their lives - with God, friends, and family. These young men were incredibly blessed this year to have so many faculty, staff, parents, Brothers, priests, and grads be part of the leadership teams who spent these two days with them.
Students returned with a sense of gratitude for having the time to get to know one another better, to step away from their busy lives, and to consider the magnitude of the plan God is laying out for them. Their openness to all the activities - talks, small groups, recreation time, and a Reconciliation service - played a huge role in the retreat's success. Thank you to all who joined us!
