The Bruin staff attends LSPA Conference, Awarded Best Overall Yearbook

The 2022 Bruin staff attended the Louisiana Scholastic Press Association’s high school conference and competition on March 11th to learn about the process of creating publications. They heard a keynote address by Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative reporter Amy Brittain from the Washington Post, attended various classes dealing with different media applications, and toured the Manship School of Mass Communication.

2021 Bruin staff members, Cole Cranford '23, Harold Lawson '23, Paul Maher '22, and Luke Walters '23 moderated by Mrs. Claudia Rumfola and Mrs. Margaret Smith competed with the 74th volume of the Bruin yearbook, So Many Questions.  They were awarded the 1st place trophy for Best Overall Yearbook. Placing in every category, CHS received 1st place certificates for Overall Design, Coverage, Division Pages, Photography, and Copy; and 2nd place certificates for Theme Development/Organization, and Cover Design.
