Tyler Schexnaydre is a Junior at Catholic High School and has been a Senior Advanced Shotgun Shooter in 4H shooting sports for a number of years. Recently, Tyler secured placement in the 2022 4H Louisiana Regional Senior Advanced Competition, which consisted of over 220 shooters from around the state. From that competition, only seventy shooters advanced to the Louisiana State finals, held on April 30,2022. In the state finals competition, Tyler placed first overall in the sporting clay discipline and also secured placement to the represent the State of Louisiana as one of four shooters to advance to the 4H Nationals Competition to be held in Nebraska.
The 2022 4H Louisiana Regional Junior Advanced Competition consisted of over 80 shooters from around the state ages 9-13. From that competition, only 35 shooters advanced to the Louisiana State finals. Luke Schulze '26 placed 2nd in the State overall in the Junior Division. He was 1st in Sporting Clays and 2nd in Skeet as well. This was Luke's 3rd year shooting shotgun but his 5th year in Shooting Sports. This is the 1st year he focused on shotgun only, having previously shot archery. This was Luke's last year shooting in the Junior Division. Next year he will move up to the Senior Division!
