CHS Mu Alpha Theta Members Take Home Honors at Fall Math Tournaments

Catholic High School has competed in two tournaments this Fall. One at St. Paul's on September 24 and another at Ben Franklin High School on October 15.

They placed third at the St. Paul’s math tournament. Students placing in individual events at St. Paul’s included: Ryan Cedel, 1st place, Trigonometry/Calculus; Carter Mayeux, 1st place, Advanced Math/Calculus; Ethan Crochet, 2nd place, Precalculus; Nicholas Ferrell, 3rd place, Precalculus; Kevin Zheng, 3rd place, Trigonometry/Calculus; Patrick Cangelosi, Honorable Mention, Trigonometry/Calculus; Evan Dayries, Honorable Mention, Precalculus; Oliver Hamilton, Honorable Mention, Precalculus; Alex Keaty, Honorable Mention, Trigonometry/Calculus; Caleb Lott, Honorable Mention, Precalculus; Kyle Oubre, Honorable Mention, Advanced Math/Calculus; and Jackson Whitlow, Honorable Mention, Precalculus.

Students placing in team events at St. Paul’s included: 1st place, Trigonometry/Calculus – Patrick Cangelosi, Alex Keaty, and Kevin Zheng; 3rd place, Precalculus – Jackson Bardwell, Oliver Hamilton, Caleb Lott, and Jackson Whitlow; and 3rd place, Advanced Math/Calculus – Christian Black, Kyle Oubre, and Nicholas Schroeder.

Students placing in individual events at the Ben Franklin Tournament included: Carter Mayeux, 1st place – Calculus and Kyle Oubre, 3rd place – Calculus.

Students placing in team events at Ben Franklin included: 1st place, Calculus – Tre Austin, Peyton LeBlanc, Carter Mayeux, and Kyle Oubre; and 3rd place, Precalculus – Jackson Bardwell, Oliver Hamilton, Caleb Lott, and Jackson Whitlow.
