CHS Kicks Off 2023 Habitat for Humanity Build

On March 4th, we kicked off the 2023 CHS Habitat for Humanity build! Br. Ray Hebert, S.C. blessed the home and the life that will be shared within its walls. As tradition, the future homeowner, Ms. Dominique Birdine, hammered in the first nail of the build. The bears will be helping out on-site until the end of April and will return when the project is complete to formally welcome the Birdine family home.

Since 2014, Catholic High School has raised more than $184,000 for Habitat for Humanity. This will be the fourth home the Bears build.

On week 2 of the Catholic High School Habitat Build, we introduced our homeowner— Dominique Birdine! Dominique is most excited about the framing of her home because it signifies the beginning of her future. Dominique will be assisting the construction crew and CHS volunteers every week of the build. We are so honored to be a part of her story and to welcome her to the CHS community.
