Two members of the Catholic High Class of 2017 will be playing in the NFL Playoffs this weekend. Clyde Edwards-Helaire (Chiefs) and Zach Tom (Packers) will take the field this weekend in the Divisional Round.
Edwards-Helaire was one of the most prolific players in CHS football history. In his final game, Clyde was named MVP of the 5A State Championship Game as the Bears captured their first championship in school history. He went on to star at LSU capping his college career with a win in the 2020 National Championship Game before being drafted by the Chiefs in the first round of the NFL Draft.
Tom was an anchor on the offensive line during his time at CHS. Zach played his college ball at Wake Forest where he was named to the All-ACC team in 2021. He became a fourth round pick of the Packers in 2022.
