Two CHS Baseball Alumni heading to the 2022 MLB Postseason

Two Catholic High School Alumni and brothers will take the field this weekend as the 2022 Major League Baseball Playoffs get underway.

Austin Nola '08 and his younger brother Aaron Nola '11 will represent the San Diego Padres and the Philadelphia Phillies respectively in the three-game Wildcard round that starts on Friday.

This is Austin's second playoff appearance, having played in all six of the Padres' postseason games in 2020. He collected two hits in 17 ABs as the Padres defeated the St. Louis Cardinals in three games before falling to the eventual World Series Champs the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Aaron will make his playoff debut with the Phillies after a stellar season, starting 32 games for the club and racking up 235 Ks while walking just 29 batters.

The Phillies travel to the Cardinals for Game 1 Friday with first pitch scheduled at 11:07am CT on ESPN

The Padres visit the New York Mets in Game 1, Friday night at 7:07pm also on ESPN
