Swim Team Wins 31st Consecutive City Championship

On Friday and Saturday, October 27th and 28th, the CHS Swim Team earned its 31st consecutive Capital City Swim League (CCSL) Title in the championship meet held at Crawfish Aquatics. 

CHS won the team title amassing 599 points, just 65 points shy of a perfect score. Baton Rouge High placed 2nd with 367 points. The Bears won 9 of the 11 events contested and swept all three relays in convincing fashion. 

Additionally, CHS swimmers won 6 of the 8 individual events and scored in the Top 8 in 33 out of the 35 total finals swims.

Individual City Champions were:

            Alex Cooper – 200 Free, 100 Back

            Sammy Smith – 50 Free, 100 Free

            James Stuckey – 100 Fly

            Harrison Martin – 100 Breast

8 CHS swimmers were named Metro Swimming All-Academic Team:
