Soccer Bears Win 11th Straight District Title

Tuesday night, a stoppage time goal lifted the Catholic High soccer team over rival Baton Rouge High by a score of 2-1. The victory clinched the Bears' 11th straight district championship.

Junior Max Chamberlain found the back of the net with a header in the final moments of stoppage time to put the Bears ahead. But, after goalkeeper Chris Kennedy was sent off, it was backup goalie Jude Mapp that made the play of the night stopping the Bulldogs' free kick and final chance to equalize.
