The CHS soccer team used a hat trick from senior Mac Couhig to roll past visiting West Monroe 5-0 and punch their ticket to the Division I semifinals.
Couhig put away two penalty kicks in the first ten minutes of play to give the Bears early momentum. CHS kept up the attack in the second half as Max Chamberlain, Caden Bland, and Couhig found the back of the net for the final margin.
The Bears will now travel to face No. 1-ranked Denham Springs in a semifinal match scheduled to take place this Saturday, February 15.
