Lacrosse Teams Open Season at Crawfish Shootout

This weekend, all four Catholic High Lacrosse teams opened their 2024 season at the Crawfish Shootout Tournament in Broussard, LA.

The Varsity Bears won both of their matchups to begin the year 2-0. In the first game, CHS blanked Chaos Lacrosse Club 6-0 behind stellar defense and an outstanding performance by preseason LHSLL All-State goalie Tommy Blanchard. The Bears needed a late goal from senior William Stafford to complete a thrilling comeback in their second matchup of the weekend against St. Thomas More. With just seconds remaining, Stafford found the back of the net to give CHS the 5-4 victory.

The lacrosse team opens their home schedule on February 9 as they welcome Episcopal High School (Houston) to Dale Weiner Field at 7:00 p.m.
