Congratulations to the following seniors and their families for being named to the LHSAA Division I swimming State All-Academic Team for the 2021 swimming season. These young men have maintained a cumulative non-weighted GPA of 3.75 or higher and excelled in the pool. These young men have shown extraordinary commitment to the sport of swimming and held themselves to the highest standard in the classrooms here at CHS. They are great examples of what it means to be a student-athlete at a six-time National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence!!! Congratulations to these young men on a great accomplishment:

Joseph Duncan
Colin Mayne
Alex Matus
Jeffery Talbot
Zachary Welsh

In addition to being named to the LHSAA Division I All-Academic Team, senior Joseph Duncan has been named to the LHSAA Composite All-Academic Team. Joseph is 1 of 23 members of the team and will be recognized by the LHSAA for his academic and swimming accomplishments before prelims of the LHSAA Division 1 state meet in Sulphur on Friday November 19. Joseph is a member of student ministry, can often be found serving as cantor for the choir at CHS student liturgies, was an All-American as a member of the 200-freestyle relay in 2020 for the Bears, and maintains a perfect 4.0 GPA!! Great job, Joseph and a big congratulations to his parents Martha and Kyle and the entire Duncan family!
