On September 18th, former Catholic High football coach Dale Weiner was selected to be part of the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame's 2025 induction class. Coach Weiner and seven other Louisiana sports legends will be formally enshrined next summer in Natchitoches.
Coach Weiner retired from coaching in 2016 after spending 35 years as the Bears' head coach. In his career, Weiner won 317 games, placing him seventh on the state's all-time wins list. He also played a significant role as a teacher and mentor during his decades of CHS service.
