CHS Wrestling Team Builds Wheelchair Ramp, Gives Hope

Saturday marked the seventh wheelchair ramp build for the CHS wrestling team. This annual project began in 2017 and has become a tradition for Coach Tommy Prochaska leading into the wrestling season. A wheelchair ramp is life changing for neighbors in need who often have been unable to leave their home for years. This service project is unique because it offers young men the opportunity to experience the blessing of making an immediate tangible difference in the life of someone less fortunate while also learning basic construction skills.

The project is made possible each year through Rebuilding Together Baton Rouge, a local non-profit that provides home repairs to low-income elderly, disabled, and veteran homeowners.

For even the son of man did not come to be served, but to serve and to give his life as a ransom for many.  Mark 10:45
