Junior QB Daniel Beale rolled out to his left and found Senior WR Daniel Harden in the back corner of the endzone on the last play of the game to give the Bears a 30-28 win at Woodlawn on Friday Night.
The TD pass capped a 9 play, 39 yard drive that took the final 1:53 of the game after the Panthers drove 95 yards in 4:33 to take the lead 28-24.
Junior Bradley Wright also played a key role in the final drive, returning the ensuing kickoff 46-yards back to the Panthers 39 yard line setting up the offense with a short field with time winding down.
Beale finished the game with four TDs (3 passing, 1 rushing), Senior WR Shelton Sampson also set the school record for pass receptions in a career, grabbing 5 passes for 45 yards on the night.
It was the Bears seventh straight win, and third straight district win.
CHS hosts Scotlandville Friday night back at Memorial Stadium.
