The Catholic High Track and Field team began the indoor portion of their season last weekend at LSU by participating in the LHSAA Indoor Qualifier Meet. This meet served to qualify athletes for the State Indoor Meet on February 17th. Although the event was not scored, several Bears had standout performances.

·       James Archer scored 4^th overall in the 60 meter hurdles.

·       Matthew Maynard scored 1^st overall in the 800 meter run. That was his season best time so far this season.

·       Jonathan Thompson scored 2^nd overall in the 1600 meter run (1 mile).

·       4x400 meter relay scored 1^st overall with its season best time this season – that relay team is now ranked #79 in the U.S.

·       4x800 meter relay team scored 1^st overall

·       Ervin Smith scored 5^th in shot put. He qualified for state. Jack Torrance is qualified as well.

·       Ryan Klester finished 16^th in pole vault – he is qualified for state.

·       Alex Huffine had a PR in the long jump (21ft 11.5in). He is now #3 on the CHS all-time list for indoor!
