This year's 4-5A District Championship Game between Catholic High and Zachary could not be settled in regulation. After a Daniel Beale touchdown run gave the Bears a 35-28 lead, junior cornerback Jacob Bradford sealed the overtime victory with a leaping interception in the end zone.

Bears' senior quarterback Daniel Beale accounted for four touchdowns in the win, while the CHS defense intercepted three Zachary passes. The Special Teams unit made a huge contribution as well with a blocked punt that was returned for a touchdown by Harrison Kidder. 

This is Curdog Football's second consecutive district championship and first under head coach Hudson Fuller. 

The Bears (8-2, 5-0) will now await the Division I playoff brackets, which will be released on Sunday.
