A 30-yard catch by Shelton Sampson sealed a thrilling 42-36 win for the CHS Football Bears in the team's first ever game in Southern University's A.W. Mumford Stadium.
The Bears scored the first 15 points of the game, and led by 14 at halftime and as many as 20 points in the fourth quarter before a furious rally by the Carver Wolverines.
Sampson's catch with a little more than a minute to go, gave the Bears a first down that allowed them to run out the clock for their fourth straight victory.
Daniel Beale threw for three touchdowns, while Barry Remo added another two on the ground.
The Bears are now 4-1 on the season.
