Bowling wins 4th straight district crown, claim 12 seed in 2023 Bowling Playoffs

The CHS Bowling Bears wrapped up a perfect district schedule on March 9 after blanking the McKinley Panthers 27-0 at All-Star Lanes.

The win improved the Bears record to 10-2 (3-0).

It was the third district win in as many days for the Bears who beat Woodlawn 19-8 before dominating Baton Rouge High 27-0 earlier in the week.

The district matches were a final tune up before the Bears begin post-season play on Monday.

The No. 12 Bears take on the No. 21 David Thibodaux Bulldogs at Creole Lanes in Houma, La.

That match is scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. with second and quarterfinal rounds scheduled for later the same day.

The semifinals and championship rounds are scheduled for March 30 at Premier Lanes in Gonzales.

Three Bear Bowlers have also qualified for the individual State tournament scheduled for March 31:

Drew Babin (209 average)
Mark Mills (197 average)
Owen Songne (186 average)
