Big Orange Wave Wins Season Opening Meet

The Catholic High Cross Country team's season got off to a great start this weekend as the Bears won the Episcopal Round Table Run meet title.

The Big Orange Wave placed five runners in the top 20 and gave new head coach Corey Mistretta his first win after replacing the legendary Pete Boudreaux.

"It starts with a ripple," said Coach Mistretta. "I was very proud of our team's effort despite the muddy conditions. It showed their grit, and I'm excited for what's next for this group."

Junior Jonathan Thompson led the way for CHS placing 4th overall. Augustin Juneau (7th), Peter Watson (8th), Andrew Mascari (12th), and Patrick Kelly (19th) also contributed to the Bears' win.
