Big Orange Wave Wins Metro Championship

This past Saturday at Highland Road Park, the Catholic High cross country team won the Metro meet title after placing five runners in the top 10 finishers.

“It was an outstanding performance by the boys. They showed up with a great mindset and performed well in sloppy conditions,” said head coach Corey Mistretta.

The Big Orange Wave was led by William DeCuir's second-place finish. Peter Watson (4th) also finished in the top five.

“Coach Zach (Capello) is doing an amazing job with the boys," Coach Mistretta continued. "The training plan is working and they are peaking at the right time. With only one race remaining before the state meet, we have an exciting group of boys racing for those spots."
