The Catholic High Cross Country team began their season with an impressive showing last weekend at the Bayou Boogie Classic meet. Led by the first and second place finishes of Matthew Maynard and David Lemann, the Big Orange Wave dominated the field on their way to the meet title. Ethan Pham, Peter Watson, and Blake Weber contributed to team win as well finishing 14th, 15th, and 20th respectively.
"What a great way to open the season," said head coach Pete Boudreaux. "I'm extremely proud of the way our team ran. My hope is that this propels us to have a great year ahead."
The Big Orange Wave is back in action this Saturday competing in the Episcopal Invitational meet. Race time is 8 a.m. at Highland Road Park.
