Bears Wrestling finished 2nd at State Meet, Domangue wins individual title

CHS Wrestling's quest for the team's first state title since 2010 came up just short on Saturday night in Bossier City.

The Bears claimed second place to Jesuit, falling just four points short of the title in a championship round that came down to the last match of the night.

Nine Bears made it to the placement matches of their respective weight classes, and six Bears wrestled for individual state championships. Six championship wrestlers sets the mark for most in school history in a single season

Wrestlers who placed in the top-6 were:

Thomas Domangue (182 lbs)- State Champion

Grant Grizzafi (113 lbs)- State Runner-Up

Watts Goodson (120 lbs)- State Runner-Up

Kristian Scott (126 lbs)- State Runner-Up

Christian Worley (132 lbs)- State Runner-Up

Elijah Gilmore (145 lbs)- State Runner-Up

Nicholas Migliacco (195 lbs)- 3rd Place

Blair Rousseau (220 lbs)- 4th Place

Sam Boulet (170 lbs)- 5th Place
