Bears Swimming uses depth to win 30th straight City Championship

The CHS Swim Team won 8 out of 11 events, including all three relay races on Saturday to claim the team's 30th straight City Championship Swim Meet.

The Vociferous Juggernaut has won every City Championship since 1991.

Every swimmer who competed in the meet scored points for the Bears, and Senior William DeJean was named outstanding swimmer of the meet after his wins in both the 200 Individual Medley and the 500 Freestyle.

200 Medley Relay: 1st place Alex Cooper, Harrison Martin, James Stuckey, Sammy Smith

200 Free: 2nd place Alex Cooper, 3rd place Jackson Gautreau, 6th place Eric Jurkovic, 7th place Austin Martinez

200 IM: 1st place William DeJean, 3rd place Harrison Martin, 5th place Briggs Bargas, 7th place Miles Babin

50 Free: 1st place Jackson DeJean, 4th place James Stuckey, 7th place Kevin Zheng

100 Fly: 3rd place Briggs Bargas, 4th place James Stuckey, 6th place Henry Mensman, 8th place Khoa Nguyen

The Bears return to the pool on November 18 for the prelims of the LHSAA State Swim Meet in Sulphur.
