Senior Patrick Cargile broke a scoreless tie late in the first half to propel the Catholic High soccer team to a 3-0 first round playoff victory over West Jefferson last night. Despite the visiting Buccaneers' stingy defensive effort, CHS went on to add two second half goals to secure the win. Goalkeeper Chris Kennedy recorded another shutout for the Bears.
CHS will now travel to Southside next week with a spot in the Division I quarterfinals on the line.
