Senior Tyler Morris and Sophomore Max Himmel will travel to LaCrosse, WI this summer to compete in the 2023 High School Fishing National Championship after the duo qualified for the competition over the weekend at the Bassmaster National High School Qualifier in Lay Lake, Alabama.
The pair finished 7th out of 233 boats to earn their spot at nationals, catching a total weight of 14.4 lbs over the course of the event.
It's the second consecutive year Morris and Himmel have qualified for the National Championship as a team.
They will also compete later this year in the SAF Louisiana State Championship, that will take place on March 19 at D'arbonne State Park in Farmerville, LA.
