The CHS Basketball team will play in the LHSAA Div. I Semifinal on Wednesday after an impressive 60-43 victory over No. 6 Captain Shreve on Friday night.

The Bears used a combination of excellent ball movement and stifling, aggressive defense to dominate the Gators.

Senior Dennis Hebert led the way for the Bears, scoring 25 points on 10-12 shooting (4-6 from behind the arc), he also grabbed 4 rebounds and a pair of steals.

Sophomores Tate McCurry and Nico Jones both added 9 points each for the Bears, while Jones led the team with 7 rebounds on the night.

The Bears only committed 11 turnovers and shot 46% from the field on the night and went 8-19 from 3-point territory.

CHS will travel to Lake Charles and Burton Coliseum on Wednesday to face No. 2 St. Thomas More with a trip to the championship on the line.

Tip-off is scheduled for 8:00 p.m.
