Two-time Division I State Champion Thomas Domangue was among the 10 CHS Wrestlers named to the First and Second All-Metro teams on Tuesday.
Domangue also picked up the award for Outstanding Wrestler in the Metro Area. The Senior is the two-time defending state champion in the 182 pound weight class, he also has an individual city championship and a city runner-up title, it's his second time making the All-Metro Wrestling team.
The Bears who made this year's All-Metro teams were:
FIRST TEAM:
- Senior Grant Grizzaffi (113 lbs): 37-7, City Champion, State Runner-Up
- Senior Watts Goodson (120 lbs): 39-3, City Champion, State Runner-Up
- Freshman Kristian Scott (126 lbs): 37-6, City Champion, State Runner-Up
- Junior Christian Worley (132 lbs): 29-8, City Runner-Up, State Runner-Up
- Senior Elijah Gilmore (145 lbs): 32-12, City Champion, State Runner-Up
- Thomas Domangue (182 lb): 34-4, City Champion, State Champion
SECOND TEAM:
- Junior Reece Knight (138 lbs): 28-13, City Champion
- Senior Luke Gagliano (152 lbs): 19-13, City Runner-Up
- Senior Zach Pellerin (160 lbs): 32-16, City Runner-Up
- Senior David Russell (285 lbs): 35-10, City 3rd Place
In addition, Head Coach Tommy Prochaska was named the All-Metro Coach of the Year after leading the Bears to a victory in the Louisiana Classic, a 22nd City Championship team title, and a Division I State Runner-Up finish.
Prochaska's Dual Meet Record this year was 21-6, and he claimed his 400th Dual Meet win earlier this season, his career record now stands at 416-103-1.
