Dillon Mathies, a member of the Louisiana National Guard and a CHS grad in the class of 2008, stopped by campus this week for a special gift.

Dillon organizes Honors Flights Louisiana, an organization that brings veterans to Washington, D.C. to thank them for their service. On Saturday October 7 Mr. Mathies will bring 20 Louisiana veterans who served in conflicts ranging from WWII, Korea, to Vietnam. While in D.C. the veterans tour the city and see their war memorial. 

Mr. Doug Logsdon's American History class wrote those veterans letters to show their gratitude for their service. Dillon will give the letters to the veterans on their flight back to BR.
