CHS Announces 2026 National Merit® Scholarship Program Semi-Finalists

 

Catholic High School administrators are proud to announce that seven CHS seniors have been named National Merit Scholarship Semi-finalists for 2026. Congratulations to CHS Seniors (pictured above; from left) Liam Price, Keegan Johnson, Benjamin Jewett, John Stafford, Shawn Tate, Jonathan Thompson, and Henry Mensman who will all go on to compete for nearly $26 million in college scholarships!

We would also like to congratulate ten other young men (pictured above) who were recognized by the National Merit Scholarship Program as Commended Students. Pictured from left are Steven Stogner, Rylan Carruth, Luke Schulze, Will Bruton, Eli Vincent, Trey Simoneaux, Christian Hardgrove, Cole Matherne, Lucas Miller, and Noah Haefner.

These young men submitted a detailed application about their academic records, participation in school and community activities, leadership accomplishments, honors, and awards to be considered as a National Merit Finalist. They were also endorsed by a school official, wrote an essay, and had outstanding grades throughout high school.
