Faculty and Staff

Mrs. Lisa Harvey currently serves as CHS President. She received her bachelor’s degree from Louisiana State University and a master’s degree in religious education from Loyola University of New Orleans. She taught for six years at St. John Interparochial School in Plaquemine and came to Catholic High School in 2000, serving as a religion teacher and as moderator of the Bruinettes dance team. She began serving as religion department chairperson during the 2002-2003 school year. She served as assistant principal for instruction during the 2003-2004 school year and served six years as academic assistant principal before taking over as principal in 2011. After serving 12 years as principal, Harvey was named president of Catholic High beginning with the 2023-2024 school year. 

Dr. Tom W. Eldringhoff is currently serving as CHS Principal. He graduated from St. Joseph Seminary College in 1985 with a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy. He began teaching religion a year later at St. Stanislaus in Bay St. Louis. He came to Catholic High School in 1990 as a full-time religion teacher and assistant campus minister. He has served Catholic High School as religion department chairperson, service coordinator, twinning program director, summer mission coordinator, and as moderator of a variety of student clubs. He has held the role of Campus Minister as well as Assistant Principal for Instruction, Assistant Principal for Discipline and Academic Assistant Principal. Eldringhoff has a Ph.D. in curriculum and instruction from LSU, a masters degree in philosophy from Tulane University, and a masters of religious education from Loyola University in New Orleans . He began serving as Principal in 2023. 

Christy Kessler is currently serving as assistant principal for instruction. Mrs. Kessler is a graduate of Mt. Carmel and Vermilion Catholic High School. She received her bachelor’s degree and her master’s degree in Education from Louisiana State University where she graduated with Honors Summa Cum Laude. She joined the Catholic High School faculty in 1996 and also taught at Brother Martin High School in New Orleans. She taught free enterprise, physical science, Louisiana history, World history  law studies, Louisiana history and served as Social Studies Department Chair before joining the administrative team. Mrs. Kessler teaches AP World History.

Dr. Charley Silvio '03 is currently serving as assistant principal for instruction. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in English, a Master of Arts in English literature, a Master of Fine Arts in creative writing, and a doctorate in English with a focus on writing studies. He has taught writing and education courses at McNeese State University and LSU. At LSU, he was also a graduate assistant for the University Writing Program and for Communication across the Curriculum. He began teaching English at CHS in 2018. He has served as Activities Director, Assistant Disciplinarian, Ultimate moderator, Habitat for Humanity moderator, Games Club moderator, and Senior Class moderator. He currently teaches AP English Language and Composition.

Mr. Douglas Logsdon '02 is Catholic High School's Assistant Principal for Discipline. He graduated from LSU in 2006 with a bachelor of science degree in Social Studies. He has been a classroom teacher for 15 years, and as served as assistant to the disciplinarian for the past four years. He also served as head coach for the CHS Swim Team for 20 years between 2003-2022. He is currently working on his Master's in Educational Leadership and is in the Coindre Leadership Program.
