CHS Head Swim Coach Doug Logsdon ’02 was named the 2012 Metro Swim Coach of the Year.
Coach Logsdon was a member of the CHS swim team while in high school, and he has been coaching the CHS swim team for nine years. This year, Logsdon coached the team to an undefeated regular season, a city championship and a State Runner-Up title.
CHS swimmers appreciate having Logsdon as their coach for what he is able to teach them through swimming.
“Coach Logsdon is a great coach,” said freshman Colin Bone “He expects the best from us, and reminds us that there’s nothing we can’t handle. He’s an all-around great coach, and I feel blessed to have him as a coach."
“Coach Logsdon is one of the best swim coaches in the state,” commented senior Aaron Belanger. “I have learned lessons from him through swimming that I will use the rest of my life. He coached me from almost nothing as a sophomore, to a state finalist as a senior.”
