A “grand” day was had by all - sunny skies and beautiful weather set the stage for CHS Grandparents Day held on Sunday, March 19, from 2 – 4 p.m. Approximately 850 grandparents and their grandsons were in attendance.
Current students joined their grandparents for the program in the gym. Highlighting the program was a prayer service led by CHS Student Ministers, as well as stirring performances by the CHS and SJA Schola Cantorum and the CHS Jazz Ensemble. The closing of the program featured the Armed Forces Medley recognizing veterans in attendance and all singing “God Bless America.”
A reception, hosted by the CHS Mothers’ Club, was held after the program in the Centennial Courtyard and the CHS Union. Students also led their grandparents on tours of the campus.
The CHS Photography Club was present in the courtyard to take memento photographs of the guests and their grandsons. Photographs can be previewed and purchased online. The password to view the album is chsbears
