CATHOLIC HIGH SCHOOL DAILY ANNOUNCEMENTS February 3, 2012
Students do not have school on Monday due to the Faculty/Staff Profession Development Day. Regular school hours resume on Tuesday for all students. Today is the feast of St. Blaise, a bishop and martyr of the 4th century. Many people get their throat blessed on his feast day. Brother Ray will be in the guidance conference room during the last 20 minutes of each lunch period today for those who would like to receive a blessing of their throat. Next week is National School Counselors Week. In observance of this event, the school counselors at Catholic High will be hosting “Meet the Counselors” where students are encouraged to stop by the School Counseling Office anytime next week and meet the different grade level counselors. Also, all students will be entered into a drawing to have king cake with the counselors during the lunch periods each day next week. Be on the lookout to see whose names are drawn. Any student interested in summer mission trips, who did not attend the meeting last week, can pick up an application outside the Campus Ministry office. These applications must be returned by the end of school today. The first round soccer match between your Bears and Natchitoches Central that is scheduled for tonight has moved locations. The Bears will now be playing at 7.30 at Parkview Baptist High School. Come out and support the team as they take their first step towards a State Championship. The basketball team plays McKinley at McKinley tonight. Freshmen tip off at 5 p.m., followed by the JV at 6 p.m. and Varsity at 7:15 p.m. Please come out and support the Basketball Bears! There will be a mandatory meeting for anyone interested in being on the swim team next fall after school next Thursday, February 9th in room 125. There are messages on the Union Bulletin Board for: • Art Club • FCA • Golf Team
