The Student Ambassadors are hosting a Dodgeball Tournament and Courtyard Concert this Friday, March 12th from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Cost for entry in the Dodgeball Tournament is $5 per player. Cost to attend the Courtyard Concert is $2 in advance and $3 at the door. Team registration forms for Dodgeball can be found in the Activities Office. Tickets for the concert are also available in the Activities Office. The Alan Twitty Project, Hanks Bowtie Company and The Love Handles will perform. Proceeds from this event will benefit the Brothers’ school in Haiti.
Students who would like to attempt an AP test, but are not enrolled in the AP course, must pick up a permission slip for parents to sign. Come by the Assistant Principals’ Office and speak with Mr. Eldringhoff or Mrs. Lessard. Keep in mind that CHS offers the opportunity to take AP tests only for subjects taught at CHS. If you have questions, you can speak with Mr. Eldringhoff.
Freshmen Football pictures and Mother-Son Breakfast pictures can be picked up in the Activities Office today.
Attention all Sophomores and Juniors interested in joining Student Ministry next year: There will be an informational meeting in the Chorus Room at 3:00 p.m. this Thursday and another at 6:50 a.m. this Friday, also in the Chorus Room. You must attend one of these meetings in order to receive an application to be a Student Minister next year. Any questions should be directed to Mr. Nola or to one of the other campus ministers.
A few spots are available for this week's Habitat Youth Build. See Mr. Sollie for times. Also, final hours are posted on the Union Bulletin Board. Check your hours. If you have any problems, see Mr. Sollie.
Tickets for the Drama Club production of South Pacific are now on sale in the Activities Office. Check the website for performance dates and times. Advance tickets for students are $10 and for adults $12, tickets at the door are $15.
This weekend the Speech and Debate Team qualified for the Catholic Forensic League National Tournament in Omaha, Nebraska. Congratulations to the team members for their tireless dedication. Go Bears!
Congratulations to the Junior Classical League for placing 1st in medium school spirit and 4th in overall sweepstakes at State Convention this weekend. Great Job Bears! The Golf Team remained undefeated in Metro play by defeating U-High and Baton Rouge High yesterday at the Oaks.
