The 12th Annual Catholic High School Taste Fair was held on Sunday, November 13, 2011, in the Catholic High School Gymnasium.
Twenty-eight of the finest restaurants, caterers and beverage distributors in and around the Baton Rouge area came to showcase samples of their finest food. Over 500 alumni, guests and friends of Catholic High School attended the event. Door prizes were donated by Community Coffee, Hi Nabor Supermarket, The HoneyBaked Ham Company, Maxwell’s Market and Whole Foods Market. In addition, paper goods were donated by General Paper Company and some of the tables and linens were donated by Drusilla Seafood Restaurant.
Prize winners for the evening were Priscilla Schroeder, Community Coffee gift basket; Becky Losavio, Whole Foods gift basket; Tommy Losavio ’74, HoneyBaked Ham gift certificate; Ray Starns, Hi Nabor gift basket; and Keith Sibille ’95, wine and gift certificate from Maxwell’s Market. Cash prizes were won by Helen Gonzales, $100 cash prize; Betty Willis, $150 cash prize; and Billy Bourdier ’55, $250 cash prize.
Proceeds from the event will benefit alumni activities on campus as well as to help fund the Alumni Association Scholarship.
The chairman of this year’s event is Randy Guillaume ’97. Members of the Alumni Board of Directors, Glen Randow, director of Alumni Relations and Barbara Camp, associate director of alumni relations assisted with the event.
