B.A.D.D. (Bears Against Destructive Decisions) is an organization of students who want to encourage their peers to make good decisions regarding underage drinking and illegal drug use. To begin the year, the B.A.D.D. members attended the I-CARE Team-Spirit Leadership Conference where they exchanged ideas with other public and private high school students who share the same mission. Once back at CHS, they coordinated Red Ribbon Week (alcohol awareness week) activities. This spring, in conjunction with the D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) Program, the B.A.D.D. members made anti-drug/alcohol presentations to various middle schools in the Baton Rouge area. More is planned for the upcoming months.
