Carol G. Bonnecaze is a dedicated member of the Catholic High School family. She and her husband, Randy J. Bonnecaze '65. have been married 41 years. They are proud parents of Michelle Doherty (wife of James), Melissa Grissom (wife of Steven), and Brett '94 (husband of Elizabeth) as well as the blessings of three granddaughters and five grandsons.
 
Carol received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from LSU and taught three years in New Orleans. After the arrival of her children, she was dedicated to volunteerism in the educational and spiritual realms as well in her community.
 
As a parent and friend to CHS, Carol and Randy served as the Parents Annual Giving Event chaircouple in '91. During the school's Centennial 1993-94, Carol served as Mothers’ Club President and chaired the Parents Committee for the Centennial Gala Celebration. Throughout her years at CHS, she volunteered for the Mothers’ Club Auction, Mother/Son Mass and Breakfast, Senior Retreat, Grandparents Day, CHS Development Committee secretary, and the Second Century of Excellence Capital Campaign Friends Committee. Carol has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Brothers of the Sacred Heart Foundation.
 
Carol has also been involved at St. Thomas More Church and School, St. Joseph Academy, and St. George Church in many capacities. Presently, she is a lector, catechist teaching RCIA to children, a Eucharistic Minister at St. George and involved in other aspects of parish life. She is also on the board of the Baton Rouge Crisis Intervention Foundation and Woman's Hospital Victory Open.
