Each year, parents of all CHS students are asked to make a financial contribution, in addition to tuition, through the Parents Annual Giving Event (PAGE).  These gifts meet the operational needs of our school, and support the charism of the Brothers of the Sacred Heart and the mission of Catholic High School.

What is PAGE?
PAGE stands for Parents Annual Giving Event, and is an opportunity for parents to invest and partner in their son’s education on a tax-deductible basis.

How are PAGE gifts used?
PAGE gifts go directly into the school’s operational budget.  They are used to fund teacher salaries, textbooks, carts and projectors for the library, student desks and chairs, computer software, computers, printers and scanners, technology in-service for teachers and other aspects of the school’s daily operation.

Why doesn’t CHS just increase tuition?
As with all Brothers of the Sacred Heart Schools, CHS strives to remain cost-accessible to as many families as possible. CHS is very blessed to have parents, alumni and friends that believe in the vision and value of a Catholic High education. A strong and successful PAGE program enables tuition to remain at a level that is achievable for all CHS families.

What is the difference between tuition and registration paid by each student and the actual cost of his education?
For the 2009-10 school year, this difference is $1,373.  This is referred to as the “Gap.”

What are the goals for PAGE?
The goal for PAGE 2009-10 is 100% parent participation and $500,000 in gifts and pledges.

Is a PAGE gift mandatory?
All PAGE gifts are free-will donations.  However, it is hoped that 100 percent of the families will participate as 100 percent of our students directly benefit from gifts to PAGE.

How much do you expect me to give?
Ideally we would love for each family to cover the “Gap” of $1,373 for your son. It is our belief that all families can participate at some level.  We realize that everyone is blessed with different giving capacities, and our hope is that everyone gives at a level that directly reflects their capacity and the value of the education you feel your son is receiving from Catholic High.

Will I be recognized for my contribution?
Yes, your name (not the amount of your gift) will be included in the Catholic High Newsletter.  Your name will listed along with the level of your gift in the 2009-10 CHS Annual Report.  If your gift is $1,000 or more, you will also be invited to the Hall of Fame Induction and Founders Banquet in December 2010.

What if I cannot donate the entire amount at one time?
PAGE commitments can be fulfilled in installments through June 30, 2010.

How do I make my commitment?
You should have received a commitment form at the beginning of the school year.  If you need another commitment form, contact the Advancement Office at (225) 389-0978.  You can also make your donation online by clicking here.

What forms of payment do you accept?
Commitments can be fulfilled by check, credit card, direct debit service or through the sale of appreciated securities.
