The 7th Annual Sporting Clay Shoot was held Saturday, October 16, at Hunter’s Run Gun Club in Port Allen, LA. Ninety-four CHS alumni, family and friends participated in a 75-target walking course designed for CHS by the staff at Hunter’s Run to simulate certain hunting situations. There were 24 teams competing for top team honors and additional individual awards for Top Gun and Most Potential.
The Top Team award went to Russell Young, Glen LeJeune, Kane Altazan, and Mark Jarreau. There was a tie for the coveted Top Gun award between Russell Young and Bert Lane. The tiebreaker was won by Russell Young.
For the first time in the history of the Catholic High Alumni Clay Shoot two ladies’ teams participated. The Most Potential award was won by Debbie Lamb. Barrett Weimer was presented the Young Gun award for being our youngest participant.
A delicious lunch was provided by Pete Hymel and drinks were provided by the Baton Rouge Coca Cola Bottling Company.
