Capital Gifts to Catholic High School

A capital gift is one that is designated for a specific project. Donors who wish to earmark their gifts toward personal interests and projects that are most meaningful to them can do so by choosing to direct their support toward a specific purpose that matches the needs and priorities of Catholic High School.

Success from Capital Gifts made recently on behalf of the Pete Boudreaux Track-Catholic High School Field initiative was a direct result of support toward continued facility improvements on the Catholic High School campus. Catholic High School students, faculty and staff have greatly benefited as the result of a capital gift to the School by parents, grandparents, alumni and friends. It is vitally important that our current families continue this tradition of giving toward maintaining an up-to-date campus for today’s students.

Capital gifts can be made to recognize a student, alumni, faculty/staff member, family or friend as a way to leave a legacy for future generations. Capital gifts are typically given in addition to an individual’s annual contribution to Catholic High School initiatives.

Ongoing Fundraising Initiatives

STREAM INNOVATION LAB IMPROVEMENTS

A major emphasis in preparing students in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math is now in the forefront of secondary education to prepare for college credit and high-growth careers. As we focus on mission-based education for our students, CHS seeks to include Religion and Arts into STEM, as a focus for critical thinking and real-world solutions.

Funding is necessary for renovations of classrooms into high-tech STREAM Labs in the Brother Gordian Udinsky, SC Science Center. In addition to potentially earning college credit, the impact will transform into group learning in the areas of Pre-Engineering, Computer Science and Biomedicine, where students prepare and provide real-world solutions toward project-based learning that will lead to professional career tracts in these areas of curriculum.

Support is also requested toward fully funding the STREAM endowment fund at $40,000. Earnings from this endowment will annually provide the necessary resources and support needed for curriculum and instruction for these progressive programs for our faculty.
